  • Rookie Samuel Basallo, 21, delivered a swinging-bunt RBI groundout in the 11th inning to secure a 4-3 win and complete a two-game sweep of the Red Sox.
  • Basallo’s winner came in his third MLB game after he became the first Oriole to record exactly two RBIs in each of his first two big-league games, joining Manny Machado with four RBIs over that span.

  • The bullpen wobbled as Yaramil Hiraldo surrendered a game-tying two-run homer to Nathaniel Lowe in the ninth before Rico García struck out three with the bases loaded and Corbin Martin closed for the save.
