Barstool Nashville General Manager Iga Obrycka Dies Suddenly at 28

Iga Obrycka, general manager of Barstool Nashville, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2025, at the age of 28.
Dave Portnoy, founder and CEO of Barstool Sports, described Obrycka as a smart and driven individual who was integral to the company's bar operations.
Originally from Poland, Obrycka moved to the U.S. in the early 2000s and relocated to Nashville in 2020, where she helped open Barstool Nashville in 2023.
Barstool Nashville and her colleagues remembered her as the 'leader, heart, and soul' of the business, announcing plans for a celebration of life in her honor.
Her death follows the recent loss of another Barstool employee, Jonathan Stanko, who passed away earlier this month at age 32 after battling cancer.
