Barry Bennell: Disgraced football coach and serial child abuser dies in prison

Barry Bennell was a football coach who abused many young players in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
He was convicted on multiple charges of child sexual abuse against junior players and sentenced to 34 years in prison.
Bennell died in prison at age 69 while serving his sentence.
He had coached for several teams including Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra.
His death will be investigated by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman as standard procedure.
