Baroness Mone Admits to Lying About PPE Medpro Involvement Amid Ongoing Investigation

Baroness Michelle Mone admitted to lying about her involvement with PPE Medpro, a company that received £200 million in government contracts for protective equipment during the pandemic.
Mone's husband, Doug Barrowman, received at least £65m from PPE Medpro’s profits, later transferring £29m to a trust of which Mone and her children were beneficiaries.
Most of the protective equipment supplied by PPE Medpro was found to be unusable upon arrival from China.
The Department of Health is attempting to sue PPE Medpro for the return of £122m, citing the PPE’s unsuitability for NHS use.
Mone is currently on a leave of absence from the House of Lords and under active investigation by the National Crime Agency.
