Overview

  • The settlement bans face masks and personal disguises at demonstrations to address concerns over anonymity and harassment
  • Barnard will not recognize, meet or negotiate with Columbia University Apartheid Divest or any successor group on campus
  • The college must appoint a dedicated Title VI coordinator to review discrimination complaints and produce annual compliance reports
  • All students, faculty and staff are required to complete mandatory training on the school’s anti-discrimination and harassment policies
  • Beginning in fall 2025, Barnard students can enroll in Jewish Theological Seminary courses at no cost and the president will deliver an annual zero-tolerance statement on antisemitism
