Overview

• Police said Idrees and Iqbal, residents of Shahjahanpur with multiple prior cases, were caught after gunfights in the CB Ganj–Fatehganj area, both wounded, and a snatched anti‑riot gun, country‑made pistols, cartridges, a bike and phones were recovered.
• The arrest tally reached 82, including IMC chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, district president Tazim after a shootout, and spokesperson Dr Nafees Ahmed, as searches and interrogations continued.
