Overview
- Sporting Cristal secured a 1-0 victory over ADT at Estadio Unión Tarma on Saturday after Hernán Barcos scored a headed goal in the 90+2 minute that fully crossed the line past goalkeeper Juan Valencia.
- The match was carried by Liga 1 MAX and made available through domestic operators and streaming services including DIRECTV, Movistar TV, Claro TV, Fanatiz and Zapping.
- Coach Roberto Mosquera set his lineup under defensive strain because Miguel Araujo was sidelined by injury, Cristiano Da Silva was suspended for accumulation of cards, and Rafael Lutiger was withdrawn from the trip with stomach problems shortly before kickoff.
- Barcos, who joined Sporting Cristal in July 2026, has 19 appearances with six goals and four assists this season, and club board member Carlos Gonzales said the club is open to extending his stay but no agreement has been reached.
- The win moves Cristal closer to securing the Torneo Clausura and improves their playoff positioning, and the club must now finish the season while deciding next steps on Barcos's contract and on how to plug defensive gaps.
