Overview

• Barcelona's ornamental fountains, shut off since November 2023 during the worst drought in two centuries, are being progressively reactivated following the end of water restrictions on April 5, 2025.
• The first fountains to resume operation include the cascade at Parc de la Ciutadella and installations at Plaça de Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia, and Jardinets de Gràcia.
