Overview

  • Overall offences in Barcelona dropped 8.8% year-on-year in the first half of 2025 and are down 22.9% since 2019.
  • Robberies declined 9.9% and petty thefts fell 6.8% to their lowest rates in a decade.
  • Knife-related incidents surged 38.3%, violent injuries rose 7.2% and attacks on officers increased 21.2%, while police seized 1,844 bladed weapons.
  • Authorities identified 280 multirecidivists, with 266 active offenders linked to 5,284 crimes and 1,776 arrests in the period.
