  • Authorities recovered a pamphlet signed by sub-zonal commander Kaushal warning NTPC, CCL, L&T and other contractors not to begin operations without TSPC approval.
  • In its communiqué the group framed its actions as defending tribal interests and accused security forces of harassing villagers under the guise of anti-Maoist operations.
  • The latest attack follows similar incidents in early May when Maoists set fire to six vehicles and two excavators in Latehar and PLFI militants burned machinery in Khunti’s Rania area.
  • Under Pagar outpost in-charge Vicky Thakur police have launched a formal investigation and stepped up patrols to identify and apprehend those involved.
