Overview

  • Judge Brian C. Walsh signed off on July 1 for Anne Wojcicki’s TTAM Research Institute to acquire 23andMe after topping Regeneron’s bid
  • The purchase covers the Personal Genome Service, research operations and the Lemonaid Health telemedicine unit
  • TTAM is bound to honor existing privacy policies for roughly 15 million customer profiles and implement additional security measures
  • States including California, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and Utah remain formally opposed and are evaluating next legal steps
