Bankers’ Union Closes Inflation-Linked Deal, Lifts Starting Pay to ARS 1.895 Million

The deal places the banking paritaria outside the government’s 1% monthly cap by linking future wage updates directly to official inflation measures.

  • Starting August salaries, bank employees will receive a minimum total pay of ARS 1,895,421.83, composed of a base of ARS 1,842,170.43 and a profit-sharing payout of ARS 53,251.40.
  • The agreement covers retroactive adjustments for July, with back pay slated for distribution alongside August payroll.
  • It applies to all gross monthly remunerations, both conventional and non-conventional, remunerative and non-remunerative.
  • Signatories include La Bancaria, the Asociación de Bancos Públicos y Privados (ABAPPRA), Asociación de Bancos de la Argentina (ABA), Asociación de Bancos Argentinos (ADEBA) and the Central Bank (BCRA).
  • Workers will also receive a minimum "Día del Bancario" bonus of ARS 1,642,231.21, with future increases tied to salary scale revisions.
