Bank of America Chicago 13.1 Half-Marathon to Kick Off Sunday with NBC Live Coverage

NBC Chicago’s live coverage will begin at 6:50 a.m. with the wheelchair division followed by the open-division start at 7 a.m.

  • The 13.1-mile course starts and finishes at Garfield Park and runs through Humboldt Park and Douglass Park on Chicago’s West Side.
  • Runners must complete the course within three hours and 15 minutes, maintaining at least a 15-minute mile pace to receive an official finish time.
  • Major thoroughfares including Humboldt Drive, Franklin Boulevard and Independence Boulevard have closed since Wednesday, with additional shutdowns beginning Saturday.
  • NBC Chicago will stream the finish line feed continuously until 11 a.m. on its website and mobile apps.
  • Local West Side eateries such as Flying Saucer, Park and Field and Thimi’s Empanadas are offering early-morning carb-loading menus and post-race specials for participants.
