- Banks are closed today, Sept. 30, in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata and Ranchi for Maha Ashtami, per the RBI list.
- On Oct. 1, branches in multiple cities — including Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram — will remain shut for Navratri/Maha Navami/Dussehra.
- Oct. 2 is a nationwide bank holiday for Gandhi Jayanti, with all branches across states closed.
- Sikkim will see additional Durga Puja closures on Oct. 3–4, followed by the regular Sunday non-working day on Oct. 5.
- Branch-only services pause on these dates under the Negotiable Instruments Act, so cheque clearing and RTGS/NEFT may be delayed, while ATMs, UPI and internet/mobile banking are expected to function.
