Banijay's Global Head of Scripted, Christian Wikander, to Depart

Amid industry changes, Wikander exits Banijay; global scripted team to report to Chief Business Officer Frédéric Balmary in the interim.

Christian Wikander, Banijay's Global Head of Scripted, is leaving the company on February 2, 2024.
Wikander joined Banijay in 2022 after being laid off from HBO Max Nordic.
During his tenure, Wikander was responsible for overseeing Banijay’s global scripted slate and identifying potential third-party acquisitions.
Wikander's departure comes amid changes in the industry, with commissions and production volumes fluctuating and the time from pitch to green light increasing.
Following Wikander's departure, Banijay’s global scripted team will temporarily report to Chief Business Officer Frédéric Balmary.
