Overview

  • BanCoppel completed the acquisition of CIBanco’s automotive loan portfolio following an exhaustive due diligence, according to the bank.
  • CNBV data show the auto book totaled 8,302 million pesos at mid‑2025 and accounted for 46% of CIBanco’s total financing.
  • ABM president Emilio Romano said a delegation will meet Sept. 8–11 with the U.S. Treasury, FinCEN, OFAC and U.S. banking counterparts to share compliance progress.
  • Romano said market-led transfers of assets from CIBanco and Intercam to institutions including Multiva and Kapital Bank position the sector to meet FinCEN’s Oct. 20 order timeline.
  • He added that banking operations remained stable with no reported disruptions and cited solid deposit figures, following FinCEN’s June 25 allegations that also named Vector Casa de Bolsa.
