- Contracts for mobile banking and digital services grew by more than 500% from 2017 to 2024, and the share of adults opening savings accounts via non-bank apps rose from 2.7% in 2021 to 10.3% in 2024.
- Traditional branches are the only major access channel in clear retreat, falling about 16% since 2017, while ATMs grew over the period but stagnated and slipped versus 2023.
- Point-of-sale transactions increased strongly, yet the share of establishments using bank-provided terminals fell as non-bank competitors expanded their TPV offerings.

- Financial exclusion remains largely intergenerational, with CEEY reporting that 95% of people outside the system have parents who were also excluded.
