Overview
- Police said the overdoses were reported around 12:08 p.m. near West North and Pennsylvania avenues.
- Seven people were taken to hospitals and four declined transport; those hospitalized were ages 30 to 60, including six men and one woman, and all are expected to survive.
- The Mayor’s Office said it was aware of 10 patients with six transported as health staff canvassed the area and distributed naloxone.
- Community workers, including staff from the Penn North Recovery Center, handed out Narcan and urged neighbors to seek help for those at risk.
