Elias believed the team's rebuild was over and aimed to make them a very competitive team for years; the Orioles then won 101 games in the 2023 season, capturing the American League East title.
Despite the successful season, the team was swept in the Division Series by the Texas Rangers, the eventual World Series champion.
In addition to his draft success, Elias has also made strides to establish the Orioles in the international market, with plans to open a new training academy in the Dominican Republic.
