• Michael J. Pusateri, 59, was arrested Monday and is charged with rape, sexual abuse of a minor, solicitation of child sexual abuse material and related offenses, according to police and court records.
• Charging documents describe an alleged July 25 assault at Eastern Regional Park in Middle River that occurred inside the teenager’s vehicle before the two departed separately.
• Detectives say the relationship shifted from coach–player to sexual in mid-March, with text records showing at least five in-person meetings and one encounter where he allegedly bit the victim’s neck.
• A search of Pusateri’s phone allegedly uncovered dozens of explicit images he sent to the teen and images he solicited from her, including an explicit transmission on June 13 from his work phone.
• Pusateri, who has coached for Parkville Rec and volunteered at Kenwood High with experience in Middle River and Overlea-Fullerton, is held without bail with a bond review set for Tuesday as police solicit tips about potential additional victims.
