Ballot Distribution Proceeds in Buenos Aires as LLA Appeals Poster Reprint Denial

Santilli's confirmation leaves LLA relying on voter guidance for an unchanged Boleta Única.

Overview

  • The National Electoral Chamber confirmed Diego Santilli as La Libertad Avanza’s new head of list in Buenos Aires after José Luis Espert stepped down.
  • The same court rejected reprinting the 14 million Boleta Única ballots, so materials showing Espert continue to be dispatched under Correo Argentino’s traceability controls.
  • The Buenos Aires National Electoral Board refused a request to reprint 40,000 mandatory display posters, calling it untimely, materially impossible, and legally improper given distribution already in motion.
  • La Libertad Avanza appealed the posters decision to the National Electoral Chamber and signaled it could go to the Supreme Court, while the national government filed its own appeal arguing reprinting could be done in 24–48 hours by Arcángel Maggio S.A. for about seven million pesos.
  • With ballots unchanged, LLA released a spot featuring Santilli and Karen Reichardt that instructs voters how to mark the party on the Boleta Única, including the line “Para votar al colorado, marcá al pelado.”
