BAFTA Introduces New Voting Process and Reveals Longlist for the First Time

Baldur’s Gate 3 leads the BAFTA Game Awards 2024 longlist with 15 potential nominations, followed by Alan Wake 2 with 14, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with 10.
The longlist, which includes 60 games, is a new process for BAFTA, which previously only revealed shortlisted titles.
Instead of juries voting on Best Game and British Game categories, the votes are now open to all 1,000+ members of BAFTA.
The final list of nominees will be released on March 7, 2024, with the winners announced at the annual BAFTA Games Awards event on April 11, 2024.
BAFTA CEO, Jane Millichip, hopes to amplify the celebration of talent in the games industry by publishing the longlist.
