Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Brings 12 New Subclasses, Crossplay, and Photo Mode

Larian Studios announces a major update for 2025, including expanded multiplayer functionality and new role-playing options.

Patch 8 introduces 12 new subclasses, one for each playable class, with unique abilities, animations, and dialogue lines.
Cross-platform multiplayer and progression will allow players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox to join shared lobbies seamlessly.
A new photo mode will enable players to capture in-game moments with advanced camera controls, poses, and effects.
Stress testing for the update is scheduled to begin in January 2025, with the full release expected later that year.
The update continues Larian's commitment to post-launch support, adding significant replay value without DLC.
