Overview
- Baker Hughes was awarded a contract to design and deliver equipment for five 60‑MWe Organic Rankine Cycle power plants at Fervo Energy’s Cape Station near Milford, Utah.
- The scope includes engineering, manufacturing, and supply of turboexpanders and BRUSH Power Generation generators, with the order booked to the Industrial & Energy Technology segment.
- The five Phase II units are expected to provide about 300 MW of capacity, roughly enough electricity for 180,000 homes.
- The equipment is designed to operate with Fervo’s Enhanced Geothermal Systems to enable scalable, reliable baseload power.
- Cape Station targets 100 MW online in 2026 from Phase I and plans to add 400 MW by 2028 in Phase II, under permits allowing up to 2 GW.
