Bajaj Updates Pulsar 220F With Full LED Headlight

The modest electrical refresh signals a cautious push to modernize the bike by adding LED lighting without changing its engine or chassis.

Overview

  • The update, announced June 18, 2026, brings a full-LED headlight with integrated LED daytime running lights to the Pulsar 220F and increases the ex-showroom Delhi price to Rs 1.36 lakh, about Rs 8,000 higher than the December 2025 model.
  • The new lighting replaces the long-standing halogen setup with a single projector unit for low and high beams and eyebrow-style DRLs, leaving the bike's familiar semi-faired front and silhouette intact.
  • Bajaj left the mechanical package unchanged: the 220cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine (around 20.4–20.9 hp) and five-speed gearbox remain the same, as do telescopic front forks, twin rear shocks and single-channel ABS.
  • The update keeps the bike's existing features such as the Bluetooth-enabled digital cluster, clip-on handlebars and dual-disc brakes, and reduces the colour lineup by dropping the Green Light Copper option introduced in December.
  • The change is an incremental refresh rather than a platform shift and comes as Bajaj is reported to be testing next-generation Pulsar models that may move to a new chassis, although it is not confirmed that the 220F will join that overhaul.
