Baja California Police Make Multiple Arrests as Tijuana Swap Meet Shooting Leaves Woman Dead, Child Wounded

State prosecutors are reviewing arrests following coordinated operations across Tijuana and Mexicali.

  • In separate Tijuana cases, Israel “N” was arrested driving a recently stolen Toyota Prius after the owner was shot, and Jonathan Daniel “N” and Luis Reynaldo “N” were detained over a delivery robbery with a rifle and ammunition recovered.
  • In Mexicali, four people were arrested with knives and two pellet pistols hidden in a Jeep, while in Morelia authorities opened homicide probes after two youths were shot by assailants on a red motorcycle and a separate gunshot victim was found on a rural track.
