Overview
- The Pakistan Naval Academy held the passing-out and commissioning parade for the 124th Midshipmen and 32nd Short Service Commission courses in Karachi on Dec. 27.
- Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ebrahim Al bin Ali, commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force and an academy alumnus, inspected the parade and presented top awards.
- Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar and Iraq’s Officer Cadet Al‑Dhahabi Fahad Hissam Fareed received the Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medals, with Midshipman Shahab Ahmed earning the Academy Dirk and Midshipman Muhammad Uzair Abbas winning the Sword of Honour.
- The ceremony featured oath‑taking by the graduates and additional honors including the Commandant Gold Medal to Officer Cadet Syed Saad Shahid and the Proficiency Banner to Quarterdeck Squadron.
- Pakistan Navy leaders noted ongoing training for cadets from Bahrain, Djibouti, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Türkiye as the Bahraini commander’s visit reinforced cooperation on maritime security.
