Bahia Police Arrest 9 in Second Phase of Operation USG Over R$12 Million Health Funds Fraud

Overview

• Search and seizure warrants were executed in municipalities in Bahia and Piauí, including Formosa do Rio Preto, Bom Jesus and Corrente.
• Targets include doctors, ex-municipal health secretaries, a city councilor, business owners and clinics that held municipal contracts.
• About 80 officers from Draco-LD, DECCOR, Bahia’s 11th Regional Interior Police unit and the Piauí Civil Police carried out the operation.
