‘Badass Ravikumar’ Outperforms ‘Loveyapa’ in Box Office Clash Despite Mixed Reviews

Himesh Reshammiya's action-musical secures strong early earnings, surpassing its competition and becoming his highest opener to date.

‘Badass Ravikumar,’ starring Himesh Reshammiya, earned ₹2.75 crore on its opening day, making it the actor-singer's highest first-day box office collection.
The film continued to lead over its competitor, ‘Loveyapa,’ on day two, with a total collection of ₹4.74 crore compared to ₹2.31 crore for ‘Loveyapa.’
Despite receiving mixed-to-negative reviews, the movie has gained traction in tier-2 and tier-3 cities and single-screen theaters, where Reshammiya enjoys a dedicated fanbase.
Produced under the Himesh Reshammiya Melodies banner and directed by Keith Gomes, the film is a spin-off of the 2014 movie ‘The Xpose.’
With a modest budget of ₹21 crore already recovered through music rights and subsidies, the movie is now generating additional revenue through theatrical earnings.
