Overview

  • The council voted 39–13 on July 30 to establish five full-time asylum social counseling positions within the Landratsamt Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen.
  • Negotiations with BRK, AWO, Caritas and Diakonie collapsed when providers demanded full public funding instead of the customary 10 percent local contribution.
  • A Green and SPD motion for a fully decentralized, outreach-based counseling model was defeated 34–18, endorsing a primarily centralized service.
  • Under the new plan, central Landratsamt office hours will be supplemented by scheduled on-site sessions in county refugee accommodations for about 3,500 asylum seekers.
  • The NGO’s insolvency in early July followed embezzlement allegations against founder Sadija Klepo and a failed €400,000 state payment, halting all counseling in local shelters since July 1.
