• Backyard Baseball ’01 will be released on July 8 for PC via Steam and on mobile devices.
• Playground Productions and Mega Cat Studios secured the original IP and redeveloped the game’s code to revive the 2001 title.
• In partnership with Major League Baseball the remaster includes official team logos and marks alongside likenesses of 28 returning MLB players.
• Ken Griffey Jr., Frank Thomas and Barry Bonds declined to participate in the remaster.
• No console release has been confirmed and the developers are also working on an unannounced next-generation Backyard Sports game.
