Overview
- INGV logged a magnitude 4.3 quake near Russi at 09:27 local time and a 4.1 event near Faenza two minutes later, at depths of roughly 23 km and 22 km.
- Shaking lasted about 4–5 seconds and was distinctly felt across the provinces of Ravenna and Forlì-Cesena, sending residents out of buildings.
- Rail traffic was temporarily suspended for safety checks on the Bologna–Rimini and Ferrara–Rimini lines, as well as the Castelbolognese–Ravenna and Faenza–Ravenna sections, with trains held until inspections finish.
- Precautionary evacuations occurred at schools and offices as regional civil protection and fire brigades activated standard seismic procedures and began site inspections.
- Local officials, including the mayors of Faenza, Russi and Imola, said no damage has been found so far, and authorities continue monitoring for aftershocks.
