‘Babylon Berlin’ Casting 1,500 Extras in NRW for Upcoming Season

The production seeks historically accurate looks for scenes set in 1933, with filming scheduled from mid-March to late April in several NRW cities.

Casting is open to men and women aged 5 to 80 who fit the aesthetic of 1933 Berlin and Cologne, with specific hairstyle and appearance requirements.
Filming will take place in Cologne, Duisburg, Bochum, Mönchengladbach, and Königswinter near Bonn, with costume and makeup fittings starting in late February.
Applicants are advised to avoid modern alterations like dyed hair, artificial nails, visible tattoos, and tanning, to align with the historical setting.
Roles include members of the 1930s elite, political figures, waitstaff, musicians, carnival performers, and train passengers, with some seeking resemblance to historical figures like Konrad Adenauer.
