Baby in Serious Condition After XL Bully Dog Attack in Kent

An eight-month-old girl was airlifted to a London hospital after being bitten by a banned XL bully dog; two arrests have been made.

The attack occurred on Wednesday afternoon inside a property in Hawkinge, near Folkestone, Kent.
The baby girl, aged eight months, was bitten by a dog believed to be a banned XL bully breed and remains in serious condition in a London hospital.
Kent Police seized and destroyed the dog following the incident and arrested an 18-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.
The XL bully breed was banned in England and Wales earlier this year, requiring owners to meet strict conditions, including neutering, microchipping, and muzzling the dogs in public.
Police are continuing their investigation and maintaining a presence in the area to reassure the local community.
