Baby Delivered in Krispy Kreme Parking Lot During Alabama Snowstorm

After icy roads delayed their trip to the hospital, Sha’Nya Bennett gave birth to her son Dallas in a car outside the closed doughnut shop.

Sha’Nya Bennett, 23, went into labor during a historic Alabama snowstorm and was unable to reach the hospital due to icy roads.
Her partner, Keon Mitchell, pulled into a Krispy Kreme parking lot in Dothan, Alabama, where Bennett delivered their son, Dallas Amir, in the car.
Paramedics arrived shortly after the birth and transported the family to Flowers Hospital, where both mother and baby were confirmed to be healthy.
Krispy Kreme awarded the family a year’s supply of free doughnuts and pledged to host Dallas’s birthday party annually until he turns 18.
Dallas, nicknamed 'Glaze' by the family, is believed to be the first baby to have Krispy Kreme listed as the place of birth on a birth certificate.
