• On May 25 a British Airways steward on a San Francisco–Heathrow flight was discovered dancing naked in a business-class toilet after suspected drug use.
• The crew member was provided first-class pyjamas, received medical attention on landing and was arrested by Metropolitan Police before being suspended from duty.
• Fellow cabin staff worked the remainder of the ten-and-a-half-hour flight without breaks and BA has referred the matter to the police.
• Charlotte May Lee, a former TUI flight attendant, was arrested in Colombo on May 11 when Sri Lankan police found 46 kg of cannabis in her luggage.
• Lee remains in custody at Negombo Prison and is due back in magistrates’ court in two weeks with the UK Foreign Office providing consular support.
