B3 Extends Trading Hours for Gold and Crypto Futures in Two Phases
The exchange says the move responds to investor demand for flexible, regulated access to these futures.
Overview
- Trading shifts from the current 10:00–18:00 to 08:00–18:30 starting March 9, then extends to 08:00–20:00 on April 20.
- The change creates a 12-hour weekday window for GLD, BIT, ETR, and SOL futures.
- In the second phase, the derivatives allocation window will run until 20:30.
- The futures are cash-settled, offer fractional exposure with reduced initial values, and reference global indices to avoid direct custody and private-key handling.
- B3 will monitor liquidity and investor uptake after launch to evaluate possible expansion to other asset classes.
