Azcárraga to Sell Minority Televisa Stake to Gómez and de Angoitia as He Increases Ollamani Holding

The share transfers await antitrust clearance in Mexico.

  • Grupo Televisa said Emilio Azcárraga Jean agreed to sell 26,332 million Series A shares in equal parts to Bernardo Gómez and Alfonso de Angoitia, with closing subject to customary conditions including CNA approval.
  • Based on Televisa’s latest share price, the block is valued at roughly 1,926 million pesos, or about 108 million dollars.
  • Once approved, Azcárraga would hold about 12.1% of Televisa, while Gómez and de Angoitia would each own approximately 5.3%.
  • In a separate disclosure, Ollamani said Azcárraga acquired 25 million CPOs, raising his interest to 37.8% of its publicly traded securities.
  • Televisa also announced a deal for General Atlantic to acquire 49% of Club América and the Banorte stadium for about 490 million dollars after net‑debt adjustments, with Ollamani to retain 51%.
