Overview
- AYSAM finished the La Puntilla distribution and regulation works around 7 p.m. Saturday, then began reservoir recovery, network pressurization and air purging, with full normalization expected within 24–48 hours.
- The outage, which began at 4 a.m., covered wide sectors of the metro area including Mendoza City, Godoy Cruz, Guaymallén, Las Heras, Luján de Cuyo and Maipú.
- The project included installing large regulation valves and 11 flow meters at strategic points to improve measurement and pressure control, enabling macrodistribution toward Cuenca Alto Godoy and ending the need for general cuts tied to this program.
- Mitigation measures included three water trucks to supply hospitals, hemodialysis centers and clinics, while residents were urged to conserve stored water until service stabilizes.
- In parallel, ABSA executed a 10‑hour maintenance cut in San Miguel del Monte early Saturday, and Sedapal scheduled district‑level interruptions in Lima over Nov. 1–2 with cistern support and published restoration windows.
