Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir Enters Second Phase of Consecration Rituals

  • 101 Vedic scholars from across India are conducting three-day Pran Pratishtha rites with daily chanting of nearly 2,000 mantras and devotional hymns.
  • Ceremonies will install Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman in the first-floor Ram Darbar and consecrate seven other deities in newly built shrines along the complex’s ramparts.
  • Ayodhya has been declared a red zone, with Anti-Terrorism Squad commandos, armoured vehicles and round-the-clock surveillance deployed around the temple.
  • The ri RaRam Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has urged devotees to defer travel to Ayodhya, noting no public invitations have been issued and consecrated areas remain closed.
  • Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to attend the main muhurat on June 5, which coincides with Ganga Dussehra and his birthday.
