Ayodhya Sets Record Target of 26,11,101 Lamps for Deepotsav 2025 as Preparations Intensify

City authorities mobilize sanitation crews, water provision, lighting upgrades and beautification measures to manage festival crowds.

  • A planned 26,11,101 lamps will be lit across Ram Ki Paidi and 56 ghats on October 19 under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
  • Councillors have been tasked with distributing 1,500 lamps in each ward to extend the illumination across neighborhoods, markets and ghats.
  • More than 1,500 sanitation workers supervised by 54 officers are deployed, with 30 mobile toilets installed and about 785 workers assigned for post-ceremony lamp removal and sand sprinkling at the ghats.
  • Water-supply steps include repairs to 983 hand pumps, leak fixes, 30 tanker deployments, cleaning of 56 TTSP tanks, and the setup of 15 kiosks, 90 coolers and 25 smart kiosks.
  • The Urban Development Department is executing horticulture displays, murals, road repairs and strip lighting, while potter families report large diya orders and higher incomes, citing batches of two lakh and one lakh pieces.
