Ayodhya Ram Temple to Light 100,000 Diyas for 10th Deepotsav
The expansion serves as a state-backed showcase that links large-scale religious display to upgraded visitor services and higher incomes for local artisans.
Overview
- The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust finalised a plan to light one lakh diyas inside the temple complex using about 1,000 volunteers divided into five zones with named zone leaders and assigned team responsibilities.
- Trust organisers said the temple lighting will be carried out with operational support from the Uttar Pradesh Police and the Central Reserve Police Force to manage crowd and security.
- Ayodhya municipal and district authorities have announced extensive logistics for visitors and cleanup, including 471 bio-toilets, 85 water coolers, 25 water kiosks, deployable tankers, roughly 792 sanitation workers and a 55-vehicle waste fleet.
- The district administration has set a separate, developing city target to light 30 lakh diyas at Ram Ki Paidi, a larger public effort that remains distinct from the confirmed temple-complex arrangements.
- Local potter families reported large bulk orders and sharply higher festival incomes as demand surged, with electric wheels boosting production and village workshops supplying hundreds of thousands of lamps for this Deepotsav.
