Ayodhya Ram Temple to Feature Titanium Window Grills as Work Nears Completion

Officials highlight titanium’s exceptional durability ahead of the temple’s core structure completion by late July.

In addition to details on the titanium window grills, Mishra also shared updates on stone procurement for the temple.

Overview

  • Titanium will be used for the temple’s window grills in a first-of-its-kind application in India because of its lifespan exceeding a thousand years and its lighter weight than traditional metals.
  • Approximately 13 of the planned 14 lakh cubic feet of Bansi Paharpur stone have been installed, leaving only one lakh cubic feet of sacred stone work remaining.
  • All principal idols were placed in May, completing the religious installation phase ahead of final construction stages.
  • The construction committee expects to remove all heavy machinery once core temple works wrap up by the end of July.
  • Main structural work is slated for completion by October, with the boundary wall and auditorium scheduled for finalization by December 2025.
