Ayodhya and Mumbai Celebrate First Anniversary of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha
Devotees across India honor the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol with prayers, cultural events, and large gatherings.
- The first anniversary of the Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha ceremony was officially observed on January 11, following the Hindu lunar calendar, and celebrated widely through January 22.
- In Ayodhya, thousands of devotees visited the temple, participating in prayers, yajnas, and cultural programs, including musical recitations of the Ramcharitmanas and Ram Katha discourses.
- Mumbai temples held kirtans, Satyanarayana Pujas, and cultural performances, including a dance ballet by disabled artists depicting the Ramayana in various classical styles.
- The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced that the annual celebration will henceforth be known as Pratishtha Dwadashi, observed on Paush Shukla Dwadashi as per the Hindu calendar.
- Construction of the Ram Mandir complex is progressing on schedule, with completion expected by March, including the installation of Ram Darbar idols on the first floor.
