Aymen Barkok Joins Schalke 04 in Last-Minute Transfer from Mainz

Aymen Barkok, a midfielder with over 100 Bundesliga appearances, has transferred from FSV Mainz 05 to FC Schalke 04.
The deal was finalized just before the winter transfer window closed, with Barkok signing a contract until the end of the current season.
Schalke's football director, Youri Mulder, highlighted Barkok's versatility and ability to provide fresh tactical options across multiple midfield positions.
Barkok has previously played for clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Hertha BSC, and has 18 caps for the Moroccan national team.
The midfielder had limited playing time this season at Mainz, appearing in only four Bundesliga matches before making the move to Schalke.
