Overview

  • Axiom Space, in partnership with SpaceX and NASA, will launch the Ax-4 mission aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center on June 10.
  • Four astronauts from the United States, India, Poland, and Hungary will embark on a 14-day stay aboard the International Space Station.
  • Mission pilot Shubhanshu Shukla will become the first Indian to fly on a commercial human spaceflight and the second Indian overall in space history.
  • The crew is slated to perform roughly 60 experiments and outreach activities to deepen insights into life in microgravity.
  • Plush swan Joy will serve as the zero-gravity indicator and reflect the values of wisdom, resilience, and grace across the participating nations.
