- AWS announced Tuesday that it will seed a new Forward Deployed Engineering business with an initial $1 billion and expects to staff the unit with “thousands” of engineers.
- The unit plans to place pods of about five to six engineers at customer sites for roughly 45-day engagements to build production systems and transfer skills to in-house teams.
- AWS says its embeds will work directly with customers’ business, engineering, and security teams and use AI agents and the customer’s data and governance controls during deployments.
