• AVM is deploying FritzOS 8.20 initially on the Fritzbox 7590, with other models set to receive the firmware in the coming weeks.
• Fritz Failsafe ensures continuous connectivity by switching to a backup WAN, LAN or USB-tethered device when the primary connection fails.
• The Online-Monitor now offers detailed two-week traffic views, top-consumer and per-device filtering, plus Energy Efficient Ethernet controls for WAN and LAN ports.
• Mesh networks gain password-free master access to repeaters and support simultaneous activation of multiple repeaters without pressing physical buttons.
• Fritz NAS adds upload-sharing via link for direct folder access, and Smart Energy 250 and Smart Control 440 receive expanded meter readings, routine triggers and device controls.
