• On July 29, Sable underwent surgery on his right knee at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai performed by orthopaedic specialist Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala.
• He tore his ACL and meniscus on July 11 after stumbling over a fallen competitor at the water jump during the Monaco Diamond League.
• The standard six-month rehabilitation will keep him out of the World Athletics Championships in September and delay his competitive return until 2026.
• Earlier in 2025, he resumed full training with high-altitude camps in Ooty and raced in Diamond League meets in Xiamen and Shanghai before winning Asian Championship gold in Gumi.
• A two-time Olympian holding India’s 3000m steeplechase record of 8:09.91, he is backed by the Athletics Federation of India, Sports Authority of India and other national sports bodies.
