Airlines and airports are directed to enhance communication, staffing, and coordination to improve passenger experience during low-visibility conditions.

• The Ministry of Civil Aviation has instructed airlines to proactively inform passengers about potential delays or cancellations during the fog season to reduce frustration and inconvenience.
• Airlines must cancel flights delayed beyond three hours and ensure passengers are not confined to aircraft for more than 90 minutes during disruptions.
• Enhanced coordination among Air Traffic Control, airport operations, and airlines has been advised, alongside the implementation of new Standard Operating Procedures for air traffic management.
• Delhi Airport has introduced upgrades such as LED screens for real-time visibility updates, additional 'Follow-Me' vehicles, and expedited installation of the Advanced Weather Observation System (AWOS).
• Airlines are required to deploy adequate staff at check-in counters during peak hours, ensure accurate passenger contact details at booking, and use specialized low-visibility equipment and personnel.
